Sovereign joined Nigerian-owned Sun Trust Oil in the 2001 Marginal Field Bid Round as Technical Advisor, and was successful in securing a 30% non-operating interest in the onshore Umusadege Field for Sun Trust Oil. Development of the field is currently underway.
