Adjacent to Equatorial Guinea’s Zafiro Field Complex that was discovered in 1995 by Sovereign’s CEO, is Nigeria’s OML 115, owned by Oriental Energy Resources Limited.  Sovereign negotiated Nexen’s farm-in to OML 115 in 2003. Sovereign demonstrated the potential for major Qua Iboe sand deposition similar to Zafiro Field and proved this by finding 300 feet of Qua Iboe sand in the Ameena-1 well drilled by Oriental and Nexen in 2004.  Sovereign brought Energy Equity Resources into OML 115 by farm-in in 2006, following Nexen’s premature exit from the project. Exploration drilling will continue in the block in 2007 targeting unrisked potential reserves (P10) in excess of 600 MMBO.
